Hawaiian Lava Boat Tours offers premium viewing access through our daily small group adventure tours of the East Hawaii coastline where molten lava from the active Kilauea volcano is currently flowing into the sea. This tour is your ticket to the ultimate natural volcanic fireworks display! Kilauea volcano on the Big Island of Hawaii continues to be the worlds longest-flowing active volcano since its initial eruption in 1983.  Rivers of red hot lava flowing through steaming lava tubes and over expansive lava fields created by prior flows, lava waterfalls,  pristine black sand beaches, lush tropical forests, and panoramic views of Kilauea Volcano are other unique aspects of this amazing island that can be viewed along the 12 mile stretch of primitive coastline during this tour.

Lava Tour info:

Our vessel is a 30 ft power catamaran with a 6 passenger capacity. The daily tour to the active lava field takes about 3 hours roundtrip as it takes about 45 minutes to arrive at the lava viewing area, though trip times vary according to weather conditions. Tour times are set at dawn and dusk to enable passengers to experience firsthand the magnificent glowing effect of the lava in the lower lighting. Our Native Hawaiian captain is US Coast Guard certified, lifeguard, first aid, and CPR certified.  Our friendly tour guides are extremely knowledgeable about the area and eager to share East Hawai’i with you!
